ROCKFORD, Ill (WREX) – State Representive Vella hosts Volleyball Showdown this weekend.

State Rep. Dave Vella is partnering with the Rockford Park District to bring a volleyball tournament to Rockford.

The two division tournament will host ages 14 and up.

Division 1: ages 19+

Division 2: ages 14-18

The tournament has no fee to join.

Saturday, August 17th: 11am-3pm at the UW Health Sports Factory

Concession will be available for purchase.

Equipment will be provided. and all contestants will receive a participation certificate. 

The winners of each division will receive a first place trophy and be recognized as the best of the 68th by State Rep. Vella

The Volleyball Showdown was organized by Rep. Vella’s interns Juan Nogueda and Visva Subramanian.
